Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge

The Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge is located just north of Loop I-820 and Hwy 199 (Jacksboro Highway) It consists of over 3,000 acres and 20 miles of hiking trails. Thanks to the heavy rains of the past two years, the Lotus Marsh is fill with water and wildlife.

While walking the Cross Timbers Trail, my son spotted this Winter Wren. It was a cold day, so this little guy wasn’t moving much and I was able to get very close.
