North Texas Birds of Prey

I love going to various nature reserves and parks to photograph wildlife. Despite living in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, I am still able to find birds of prey stalking in and about my neighborhood.

This Red-tailed Hawk was incredibly cooperative. He started showing up near our bird feeders - picking off song birds. Hey, it's what birds of prey do!

This hawk became so accustomed to my presence, he would let me get closer and closer. In this particular photo, my son and I were standing no further than 8 feet away from this magnificent creature!
