I found this wonderful book by Chris Santella - "Fifty Places to Go Birding Before You Die".
One of the places the author recommended was Southeastern Arizona. I am so glad I went. The amount of bird diversity was incredible. The people were friendly and the spring climate was incredible. If you ever have the chance of going, please do so. you won't be disappointed.
