Capturing the beauty of nature is my passion

Galveston Island

I fully intended to visit Galveston Island for the spring migration in 2020. Unfortunately, Covid put a halt to those plans.

Luckily, this spring I made it down to the Gulf coast and had a magnificent time. Lafitte's Cove revealed some lifer birds for me. Thankfully, there were other birders kind enough to ID those birds for me. The variety of birds seen during the spring migration can be staggering. Since I live in the north part of Texas, I really enjoy photographing birds that are not seen in my area.

If you ever have the time to make it down to Texas' Gulf Coast, you won't be disappointed. Click on this link to learn more about The Great Texas Coastal Birding Trail.
